Rice Vermicelli

Humble Tradition

Rice vermicelli (also known as Bee Hoon, rice sticks) is a type of noodle made from rice, and is a popular staple in East and Southeast Asia. It is dstinctive for its versatility and ability to absorb the taste of other ingredients when cooked. Therefore, it has been an important main ingredient in many traditional Asian dishes.

Moreover, its versatility in various forms of cooking methods makes it a flexible ingredient. This means that the use of rice vermicelli is not restricted solely to Asian dishes. Thicker rice vermicelli varieties such as our Fish Head Rice Vermicelli or Laksa Rice Vermicelli are excellent gluten-free replacements for wheat pasta. Our usual thin Rice Vermicelli can also be served cold and tossed in a sauce with salads for a refreshing twist!
